I'd love to do the math OscarWon if I knew what STB's OPEX actually was.
Thanks Calina, very informative.
Looking at STB presentations:
13/5/11 - NY Investor update
It states: Potential to be the lowest capex and opex operation in the world. Expect operating costs to be in the lower 25% of the industry.
2/9/11 - Africa down under presentation it gets better:
It states: Opex estimate to be in lowest 10% of global producers;
Then the Scoping study is announced on 23/11/11 and no mention of OPEX at all.
Presentation on same day now states: Open pit mining and location will allow cheap capex and opex mining.
8/2/12 - Indaba Presentation
No mention of OPEX whatsoever. It states: Open pit mining = low technical risk.
7/5/12 - Investor Presentation
It states: Open pit mining will underpin low capex and opex.
So clearly, the company has become much more reserved in their talk about OPEX after the Scoping study results.
