Poseidon Nickel Ltd is an ASX listed nickel sulphide exploration and development Company based in Perth with a strong resource base across three ‘production ready’ assets in the highly prospective Goldfields region of Western Australia. We are currently in the initial phase of forming our team. This is an amazing start up opportunity for people who wish to share in our story. As an important member of the site management team, we will value your leadership in creating a high performance culture at our Lake Johnston Nickel project.  The Opportunity Applications are invited for the newly created position of Maintenance Superintendent. Reporting to the General Manager initially followed by the Manager Processing in due course, the successful applicant will be responsible for our overall plant maintenance efforts. We are seeking an experienced leader that can add value and technical expertise to the maintenance and optimisation requirements for the process plant with significant experience in asset reliability, asset maintenance optimisation and maintenance planning. Working in a small team, you will love to roll up your sleeves and help out in every aspect of our operation. We seek people with grit determination, a keen eye for managing costs down, an innovative style and an innate ability to bring out the best in people. Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Tactical and operational management of mechanical, instrument and electrical systems during the current refurbishment phase to achieve production by target date and create efficiencies across the plant in the process
• Develop the strategy for shutdowns and preventative maintenance with a focus on reliability and business requirements
• Leadership and mentoring of a new maintenance team
• Camp maintenance as and when required

The Person The qualities we seek in you are:

• You may have either a trade background having risen to a leadership role through various maintenance or electrical roles or you are degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with plenty of exposure to a plant environment
• 5 years’ plus experience at a Maintenance Superintendent level or equivalent within the mining industry
• Experience in plant refurbishment is ideal within a small to mid-tier company, even better if it’s in nickel processing
• High level technical and trouble-shooting expertise across all disciplines of maintenance
• Demonstrated high level communication, organisational and project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to create outstanding results through teamwork and fostering the growth and development of others
• Proven change and innovation profile with achievement of this in other roles
• Demonstrable skills in promoting safety standards and behaviours
• High level computer literacy with knowledge of Pronto advantageous
