Isn't it staggering that every talkfest will just not deal with the real issue with council, state, federal and utility charges and taxes. Were that to be tackled revenues on which all these instrumentalities rely would be battered. Hence like petrol prices they divert attention away from the real problem. Yes there are other avenues to save but inflation is now eroding any possibility of building cheaper so price are just not going to budge very much. Too many sticky little fingers in this pie.
