Mt Gee is Classified as Flinders Ranges Class A

Mt Gee is also within the Arkaroola Mt Painter Wildlife Sanctuary.
Its not a national park.
It is a government proclaimed Wildlife Sanctuary however.

Unfortunately by definition you cannot mine a wildlife sanctuary.
Mining I think will automatically remove the status.

But what will the tourism industry think?

Arkaroola in the Flinders Ranges is a pretty big tourist location for South Australia.
