Nothing wrong with your post, so why would I jump down your throat?
As for jumping down the throats of others...I never do so if there is a legitimate argument, but what many do not realise is that sometimes posts are more than simple responses...just as the apparently innicent "newbies: are all but that, as per my IP records.
As my signiture shows, I have been known to do a little of my own fishing...caught plenty too! So whilst you might look on and think "that was a bit harsh"...I wonder if you have noticed how many of them were multi nic posters?
As for my Dweeb comments...they stand, but I fear many simply do not get the gist of my comments.
I am not saying all on HC are dweebs...I am sure many on here have decent experience and a clear and precise trading/invetsing strategy...but there are many who clearly do not have a clue. Iam not talking about lack of experiance by the way...I am talking about the less than genuine "players" who run from stock to stock like chooks with their heads chopped off, with little regard for others, either in what they post or the way they trade, and are usually the loudest to complain when I stock does not go their way, in spite of absolutely no forward planning or wider strategy employed.
These sorts of traders are more like gamblers...and given the house always wins in such cases, typically do not last long in the markets.
Mu comments have nothing to do with controlling what posters think or do, how they trade and/or whether they hold CVI or not...but it has everything to do with becoming informed, doing ones own research and not allowing oneself to be played for the sake of it, either via a forum like this, or via "games" in the market depth. Look at the contributions in the threads today...so much low content diatribe, as evidenced by the number of moderated posts.
In my view, these people are the ones who typify the dweeb state...blaming others for their own actions, offering little in the way of decent argument and showing little comprehension of the actual company in question.
lol...I can't remember who, but we had someone today comparing a $5m deeply discounted placement in GDN (a one-well wonder), to CVI's recently announced US$100m line of credit...offering this as a reason the stock will fail and people should sell?
I mean, this sort of argument is just non-sensical...and clearly shows the individual did not know the first thing about the stock. Now...whilst a lack of experience is not a crime, posting on the CVI thread that the stock will fail because of this comparison and that people should sell in his opinion, are hardly the actions of a genuine newbie.
What is this sort of posting about?
Yes the price has fallen...and yes those who sold at 27c or more have done well...but I reiterate, a good percentage of the fall has been well and truly facilitated by junior retail shadow jumpers. What may well have been a 2-3c drop has turned into a 5-6c drop due to the ease by which the bears have ben able to round people up.
Unless people missed the whole point of Smyths recent BRR interview, he too discussed the phenomenon of shareholders deploying their parachutes at the first sign of turbulance rather than sitting back and enjoyng the ride. Whilst he may have used more reserved language, the message was more or less the same as I have been posting for weeks.
He may not be calling those jumping at every bump dweebs...but I can tell you that is exactly what he would be thinking.
Anyway...as I keep saying, the dweeb state has nothing to do with buying, selling, or any activity based on one's own research and/or strategies. It does however cover that group who buy and sell without the slightest idea of what they are doing...we have all been there...then blame all others but themselves for such actions when they go wrong.
I have said it numerous times, I will never oppose well presented, gnuine argument for any view, whether I hold it or not.
Cheers!
