Your points are valid.
The true nature of the field has only started to be known, but the initial discovery is very promising.

I imagine China will farm in, but I also envisage recoverable oil being at the higher end of estimates, and other drills recovering further pools of oil.
Like Roc said in the Corporate File interview, the recent discovery played a huge part in the decision to buy Apaches China prospects. They are encouraged, and whilst FAR are minor stake holders, the small slice of cake is likely to be very lucrative and is not valued at all in the sp at present.
