The Clean Energy Technology Manufacturing and Export Assistance Act

One of the five bills focuses specifically on "clean" technology manufacturing and exports, HR 5156, the Clean Energy Technology Manufacturing and Export Assistance Act by Representative Doris Matsui (D-California). If passed, the bill will create a USD$15 million fund to support manufacturing and provide export assistance for industries including solar photovoltaics (PV), solar hot water, concentrated solar power and other renewable energy industries. On July 21st, 2010 the bill was approved by the House Energy and Commerce Committee after amendments and will now go to the full House for approval.
