The "jews" (no such word existed at the time) were never promised any messiah.

The pure blooded Israelites/Hebrews were promised a messiah. Now to Abraham and His seed were the promises made.

The last time a jew was a Hebrew was just before Esau started dating others not of his kind, zuwr, nekar, nokri, and even then the promise was not to him.

Saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one.

The jews acknowledge many miracles the Messiah performed. They just couldn't allow these miracles to continue as they would lose power in Judea. Nothings changed over 2000 years
