"Seems a bit slow to act, Mr Gordon, don't you think?"

One of the Books that didn't make it into the Bible, describes the times, or the long period being the likes of -> Earth being our mother and can you imagine a mother trying to give birth to 10 children at the same time = it's not going to happen, likewise for mother earth, it will take a long time before she gives birth to the last child.
They also give the likes of her age, nearing the end of her child bearing years is close and if memory serves me correct, I think it effectively said her age, at the time that the Book was written.
