''God is a God of free choice''

    Not that again.

Given the terms of the story, Adam and Eve did not choose their own condition, had no choice but to be naive, had no say on the conditions in the garden, the presence of the most 'subtle animal in the garden,' the serpent, etc, and made a naive decision which they regretted when their eyes were open.

The ability to make decisions doesn't determine what you decide. For instance, a child has the ability to decide, but without life experience, making mistakes and learning from them, cannot possibly understand the consequences of some of their decisions. We don't curse a child because they made a mistake.

We don't curse the whole world because a child made a bad decision. According to the story of the fall, what 'choice' did the whole world and countless generations that were cursed get?

For that reason, the ''free choice'' mantra is itself a simplistic, naive and childish rationale.

Please stop using it. It doesn't work. It's too damn silly.
