@ppm56 — I’m genuinely starting to wonder if you’re even hearing what I’ve repeatedly said. It’s like you either don’t understand plain English, or your pride is so deeply rooted that it’s blocking your ability to actually process what’s being said.

You keep making the same baseless accusations, yet time and again I’ve proven them false. You show little to no understanding of who I am or what I believe. Frankly, I’m starting to think the reason you constantly copy and paste from RCC sources is because you don’t actually have a solid understanding yourself — and that’s why you avoid addressing Scripture directly. It’s almost like you can’t.

You continue slandering my name, falsely accusing me, even after I’ve shown you clearly how wrong you are. And still, you won’t stop. That alone says a lot about your spirit and your inability to take correction.

I stand by the Word of YHWH — always. And I will continue to correct and rebuke the distortions you promote, because it is voices like yours that twist Scripture to uphold man-made systems. No wonder you get on so well with atheists — your conversations are filled with gossip and slander, not the truth of Yeshua.

Have you even tried to share the Gospel with Doug, or call him to repentance? No — you just feed his unbelief and engage in mockery alongside him. That should tell you something. Are you not even the slightest bit concerned that you seem to connect more with atheists than with true Bible-believing followers of Yeshua?

That speaks volumes. I suggest you reflect on that.

@ppm56 — You can continue trying to polish the surface of the RCC’s practices, but the facts remain unchanged. You keep claiming the Church didn’t alter the Ten Commandments, yet the proof is in black and white — and anyone who picks up a KJV and compares Exodus 20 with your Catechism can see the truth for themselves.
    Let’s break this down:

    1. The Second Commandment (on idols) is missing in your Catechism.
    The KJV clearly states:
“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image… thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them…” (Exodus 20:4-5, KJV)

This isn’t a minor phrase. It’s a whole commandment with explicit warnings. The RCC removes this and merges it with the first, effectively hiding the direct command against idol worship — likely because Catholic tradition includes bowing to statues and images. That is not a “numbering difference.” That is a deliberate omission.

    2. The Sabbath Commandment is severely shortened.
    KJV:
“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy… the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God… in it thou shalt not do any work…” (Exodus 20:8-11)
The RCC version cuts this down to a vague “Keep holy the Lord’s Day” — and then shifts it to Sunday, which YHWH never commanded. Again, no matter the “tradition” or “catechetical interpretation,” it contradicts Scripture.

    3. The Tenth Commandment is split in two.
The RCC divides the command not to covet into two separate commandments to preserve the number ten — after deleting the second. This is not a biblical division. The original lists coveting in a single breath. Changing the structure to suit your needs is not preserving the Word of YHWH — it’s manipulating it.
So, yes — the RCC altered the presentation and essence of the Ten Commandments. That’s not just a difference in “numbering systems.” That’s a doctrinal distortion. Scripture is clear:
“Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.” (Proverbs 30:6)
“For I testify unto every man… If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues…” (Revelation 22:18)
Also, don’t deflect by blaming “Millerites,” “SDA,” or “Protestants.” I’ve told you countless times ( are you this lacking intellectually?)— I stand on Yeshua and the Scriptures. If anything aligns with the Bible, I support it. If it contradicts it — even if it’s from the RCC — I reject it.

You said the RCC has been there “from day one.” That’s not historically or biblically accurate. Rome martyred the apostles — it didn’t join them. Pagan Rome became “Christian Rome” by name, but the practices and compromises remained — from sun worship (Sunday) to statues, incense, and hierarchical control.

Yeshua never said to follow tradition above the Word. In fact, He rebuked such thinking:
“For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men…” (Mark 7:8)

Please, @ppm56, stop defending what is not defendable. You are not defending Yeshua — you are defending Rome. That’s the truth. And until you’re willing to test your doctrines fully by the Word, without excuses or distractions, you’ll remain trapped in man-made systems.

But I’ll keep praying that YHWH opens your eyes — because I genuinely believe that deep down, you care. But caring is not enough — it must be rooted in truth.
