Yet a little further down the track God is said to regret making the world, so drown nearly everyone and everything, so it can't have been that good to begin with.

Not that old Chestnut. Are you saying that perfection is not possible in Heaven? Unless all the inhabitants of Heaven are Robots? Is that it? What about God....do you believe God is a Robot? Or does God suffer from the same fallibility as everything He Creates?
According to you, God is fallible, God cannot create a heaven on Earth, nor even a heaven in Heaven.....unless everyone in Heaven is a Robot.
Use your Noodle, Mr Wotsup, think for yourself, don't just quote bible verse.
