BTW I would not regard Byington's translation as independent from the Watch Tower org. Interestingly, as quoted by you, he translated Isaiah 42:8 as ".. and I will not give my glory to another and my praise to scriptures. " Why "scriptures" instead of graven images or idols as per just about every other translation ? Jehovah, Lord, God, Yaweh etc are a symbol used for identification not some absolute "personal" name. You just repeat your same claim but don't address the more important issue that ascribing a "personal" name to the Creator of The Universe is about as disrespectful as it's possible to be. .

Lord and God are merely titles. It’s the personal name of God that identifies the only true God. The author of the Bible and Creator of heaven and earth. I would not see it being disrespectful in using that name as Christ used it extensively and Jehovah has seen fit to reveal his name to mankind.
