I'm unclear on that traders motive also. However, I cannot help but notice that since those orders have been placed, the buy stack is gently increasing. That is earlier this morning total buy orders were about 4.5Mil. Net of the 15 M tosser is buy orders around 6.5M as we speak.
No doubt they are insincere bids. If the tosser were looking to dump stock (ie build buy stack and then close out) I would expect he'd place his buy orders closer to the action. Possibly it's just a catch all order... that is he gets it, he gets if he don't he don't.
My best guess (as in I have no real idea) is that he is friendly of CER and is just placing the order to create some excitement in a stock that seems to repeatedly get beaten up.
