They don't own any stock as they have borrowed it and therefore do not appear on any threshold Ann's. I was reading that Some Brokers may also loan out stock to short that is owned by their clients....
They could also be doing a naked short. This would be p[possible if you KNEW the price was going to drop each day.
They would have paid a pretty penny in fees but a 40% for a week isn't bad.....
