I agree, but Labor, the Greens and the left in general are not exactly good for a freedom of speech themselves. There is a big difference between thongs and 18C or shutting peoples view point down. The shaming and slamming down of real debate is not a good look. Strict ideology or extreme ignorance is not without its victims. Refugees/ open borders is an example.

I personally think Scomo should have stayed away from this stuff, its not worth the effort or his time. The idea of making people respect the day is not something you can control or want to control. I am sure many are probably very grateful regardless of what they wear. I would be grateful if i came from some of the countries in question.

Mind you, turning up in a post box is not exactly sensitive to your new found good fortune either.
