yes I'm aware that some have committed serious offences. yet many haven't.
why don't we have hanging anymore? is it because it doesn't serve as a deterrent? no, but because some innocent people might be misjudged due to evidence failures.
again I'm not advocating a free pass. but there are better ways than making the problem worse..... because, lets face it, prison is not a deterrent. its a punishment. and "most kids" end up living their lives in and out of the bin as a consequence. and more victims live with the harm they do than if young kids were treated better, more appropriately.
