I really didn't expect the sell down but it was canvased at the agm. Another thing canvased at the agm was issuing shares to purchase another company. Nothing doing at the moment so "mo" as well *speculate* about such a move.
How many shares would you have to issue to make a company worth 80c worth 62c? .80*150m=.62*(x+150m) x=(.80*150m/.62)-150m x= 43million shares
How many shares would you have to issue to dilute Hansen (62%) to 51%? ((.62*150m)+x)/100= 51/100 (.62*150m)+x=51 x=(.62*150m)-51 x=42million shares
Lets say we issue 50 million shares.
Just under half would be owned by the Hansen family. Around a 1/4 by the sole owner of the other company.
50 mil * .62 = $31 mill Throw in $20 mill + a couple of mill costs Call it $55 mill. What would you buy for $55 mill.
A well run company with revenue around half Hansens',strategic fit, firm contracts, lots of synergies, owner you would be happy to welcome on board?
Above is just idle pondering, just for amusements sake. I don't pretend it is a realistic scenario.
