Looks like the Japanese are quite advanced in their coal drying tech's and have linked up with major coal Co's in Vietnam to develop their BC resources -
HA NOI (VNS)— The Viet Nam–Japan coal policy dialogue opened in Ha Noi on Tuesday with the aim of developing each country's coal industry, power generation from coal and natural gas, and waste disposal projects.
The Viet Nam National Coal–Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) said it wanted to cooperate with Japanese partners to produce high-quality coal for thermo-electric plants.
Vinacomin said it encouraged foreign partners, especially those from Japan, to invest in studying and applying advanced and environment-friendly technologies in Viet Nam's coal mining industry.
Representatives from the Japanese Ministry of Economics, Trade and Industry pledged to back the group in removing water from brown coal with modern technology to produce a high-quality product.-VNS"
Looks like BC is taking off globally and not just in Vic.
Ex Major Projects Denis better pull his finger out if he wants Vic at the forefront. Looks like we've missed the Vietnam opportunity.
