In reference to the cable-laying positions that BYL advertised some weeks ago, I wonder if this is a routine requirement, or could it be the harbinger of something significant, but not necessarily very significant.
I have no information on BYL's plans to leverage its cable-laying expertise gained from housing-estate development projects, but snooping on the Internet suggests this could be done by horning in on the upcoming Round Six of the State Underground Power Program (SUPP) – see https://www.finance.wa.gov.au/cms/P...tiatives/State_Underground_Power_Program.aspx.
SUPP projects tend to be small (typically 500 to 1,300 allotments), but BYL is fairly good in that small-contracts field. I do not recall ever reading that BYL has secured cable-laying work from Western Power.
