    Gee. That's almost like they're being subsidised by the community to stay open, isn't it ?

    Instead of managing the transition and possibly developing other industries locally thanks to cheap, green electricity that will be there for generations, they are choosing to lock the community into the past. Eventually the local coal power will go broke and those workers will be dumped with no prospects.

    More expensive dirty coal power vs cheaper clean power.

    How interesting.
