Have you actually bothered to read the ARB results announcement?

Page 2: COVID-19;
"The senior management team and Directors reduced their remuneration by 30% to 50%"
"The interim dividend was deferred for six months to preserve cash"
"The Company secured additional borrowing facilities."

How would allowing a company like ARB to lay off workers due to economic uncertainty assist the "families who have now lost their businesses and homes due to lockdowns"?, "yet only get a pittance in comparison" The current JobKeeper payments of $1,500 a fortnight are passed through eligible businesses and paid to eligible employees, everybody has the same entitlement.

I understand people are upset and nervous over the outlook due to the virus and associated economic consequences, I myself had to wind up a business during the GFC with absolutely no government assistance on offer, but adopting a begger thy neighbour attitude to companies such as ARB is not going to assist the folks who are getting really hammered in this crisis.
