Qantas already pays its employees significantly above competing airlines.The demands by unions in Australia are simply unsustainable.It is Ansett all over again. The real damage is not only the cancelled flights that are currently happening, but the long term damage with cusomers switching to cheaper and better airlines, never to return to Qantas again. For me Qantas is the airline of last resort.Food is crap, in-cabin service is terrible, and flights cost more than any other airline.they make their money off the public servants who have to tavel on Qantas, and off a dwindling number of patriotic Aussies who accept poor service. I sold my Qan shares a long time ago, but still hate to see an Aussie icon being destroyed.
