    ddzx,
you are reading into things that are not there.
where did this non-existamt i say that they believed in an existant or non-existant god?

not refuting something (whatever you think that that is) is not the same as accepting it.

however, you seem to have adopted a firm belief.
such belief has caused much misery down through the ages.
the essense of which the same as the argument that you are attempting to refute
one could do their non-existant selves a huge favour by investigating if such beliefs have any substance or integrity.

as a side note, regarding this thread and many others,
using words necessarily confuses issues to varying degrees dependent on the state of mind of the perceptor and the object, once one claims a stake on them.
what is relative and conventional is very often expressed as if it (what is "it" really?) was an absolute, as this sentence demonstrates.

no wonder such "arguments" go on and on, and on.
the water remains cloudy because it is continually stirred.
this is why one only can see vague shadows on the cave wall.

after a while, lifetimes perhaps, the penny might drop and we discover that if we don't piss against the wind we wont get wet pants.

    end of story?
    perhaps
