Fred threatens to vote against a bill to limit pay rises to NSW public servants, nurses, firemen and policemen to 2.5%. Current NSW government considers this bill vital, to get state finances under control.
Not because Fred Nile the Christian Democrat, has some humane christian feelings in his hearth and might think the proposed law is unjust or unfair.
Quite the contrary, he is ready to pass the bill but he wants few pieces of silver. Namely scrapping of ethics classes in NSW schools that have became hugely popular with both parents and children, that they threaten attendance at voluntary scripture classes.
Now here is a religious zealot, if I ever saw one.
Here is Reverend ? Fred trying to dictate to people of NSW what should and should not be on the school curriculum.
What happened to separation of church and state?
But then again they start their daily proceedings in Parliament with Lord's Prayer.
