report from smh on the bhp/rio deal in the pilbara, notes dismal safety record in some mining operations here in aus (dare not elaborate).

Well, depending on who, how, and where,
IDL may get a call to help rectify the odds.
Mind you, to talk about loss of life is no easy, flipant topic!!

idl marketing may be already on the case?

Imagine seeing idl gear / safety equipment at most/EVERY mining operation ~ starting in aus, and the moving out!
Mmmmmmm........ .

On the other side of the coin,
if contractors can prove to bhp, rio, and other majors, that they intend to (lift their game?), and utilise idl safety products, we could also be in very positive territory!
{No offence intended if safe practices are already in-place; just thinking about IMPROVING the workplace}.
