Indeed, very odd trading, particularly yesterday. Would not have been surprised to see a speeding ticket issued.
No news, minimal movement in IO price and $A lower which only helps and a huge intraday swing in price. The only reason I can see for it is the spike in volume so someone was looking to get out quickly and someone pounced on the other side of the trade to either enter the stock or add to a holding.
Or there was some blatant manipulation...
Who knows.
