If Tullow can't vote any shares they have, then I think their best bet of getting the vote up is to have no shares.
This is becuase only around 60% of shares are voted at EGM/AGM's. They need 75% of at least 50% of shareholders to vote. The apathetic non-vote is likely to be larger than the committed anti vote - so they are better off maximising the former as the latter (us) is fixed in size.
Hence - they would not buy.
I notice that the annoucements from hardman don't come from Potter now - but from the COO. Potter and the Chairman from the Woodside accounts department seem to have gone to ground.
