Misinterpretation.

What the original post reported, was that huge amounts of runoff was making the oceans around the Antarctic less saline.
And that there was growing sea ice.
If the seawater is diluted with fresh water, it will freeze faster than normal seawater.
Hence sea ice area increases.

I'll stick to drilling, blasting, hauling, crushing and transporting iron ore from 500 million+ yr old deposits.
