Sea ice will always come and go denmor, the real ice mass is on the continent itself,it has the highest average elevation of any earthmass, average elevation is 2,500 metres.
Detailed records only exist from the late 1950/s.
The thickest ice in Antartica is 4,776 metres, average about 2,500 metres.
It is actually a desert as it has less than 50 mlls of rain pa.
Antarctica is twice as big as Australia, mean temps winter,-40c to -70c.
    Summer temps -5c to -15c.
Has 6 months of no solar input.
The circumpolar current moves at 140 mlln tonnes per second, equivalent to 5,000 Amazon rivers this is what brings the fractional warming each year for ice melt but it does not last long.
You can see that even if the Earth warmed by 3oc then we would still not have any ice melt from the main body--it is not possible .
