Depends on your perspective. To a plant CO2 is harmless, although the associated climate change may well render the plant unable to thrive in a hotter climate. More CO2 ("plant food") does not necessarily mean the plants will give higher yields in a linear fashion to the concentration of CO2. Some will improve slightly. Some will not. The killer is the resultant droughts and increased temperatures. Plants can't move around easily therefore their capacity to adapt like huimans is limited. We will see reduced crop yields and will have to start growing temperate varieties closer to the poles. Also, the desertification in middle latitudes associated with Climate Change will reduce crop yields on its own.

You cannot simply say "carbon dioxide is essential for life on this earth, the higher the quantity the better for life". You are over-simplifying everything I am afraid. Very dangerous IMHO. Why is it some people think more is always better? (Is more sunlight good for you? More coke? More coffee? More Macdonalds? More cigarettes? More alcohol?)

If you really want to get pedantic then yes, even water can be a pollutant. You can actually kill yourself from drinking too much water - its called 'hyper-hydration' or water poisoning. Not to mention flooding.

Its a balancing act. Everything in moderation Flats, even your precious CO2.
