Gareth further to you points consultation with directors of other public companies much more significant than ADO fed back that appropriate practice is to consult larger and long-term shareholders first and second before going to new investors. They also stated that larger shareholders could help on pricing, plus you look to current shareholders to build the book, not new investors.
Another fact is that government discussion papers on this topic also state that the board should engage with shareholders on such things.
Further fact the board, especially the chair, did nothing until after the capital raising was announced, when all hell broke loose.
