My beef is not about any technical superiority of DurAVR, they have made some important advances. it was about how the news item portrayed it, "If viewers were not aware of other bioprosthetic aorta valves and trans-catheter placement, they would believe that this process was invented and only available from Anteris" I offered that link as background to my own experience related to the specific type and brand of SAVR valve I was given. The paper, being four years old does not make it irrelevant. Rather, it highlights how sutureless valves and their placement are not new as the Arteris news item suggests. I did not mention pacemakers so not sure why you bring that one up.That's a separate issue. I thought posters would find my experience interesting, the level of vitriol is astounding.
