Wayne Paterson said in a relatively recent interview that The DurAVR is the ideal choice for those patients that need a valve in vale procedure (yes, I realize that he is biased although it has to do with the DurAVR's far superior opening area compared to other valves, amongst other things).... ie.if a patient has had a competitor's valve previously and it needs to be replaced the DurAVR is the ideal candidate.

Chances are if the patient has a DurAVR implant as their FIRST implant it will never need to be replaced, although if it does, again, the DurAVR is the ideal candidate.
