I think you did you best to try to speak to a certain poster. While it seems to be as futile as a lot of us would have expected, at least you tried...
On the question of tribes. I think it is as simple as it being the longer the country has been around as a political entity, the longer it has become a mix of various tribes. Some areas are less affected by historic migration and are more likely to retain homogeneous parts of the population with their own cultural and physical characteristics.
ps: I consider myself a richer person now knowing of 'the people of the thorn'.
