30 mi, about 45 km, okay but if one has been practicing this and with all the support and places to stay and eat nothing to carry on your back ... still not a big deal. And will there be a disinterested third party monitoring him all along the way to ensure that he does walk all the way?
BTW some say the distance is about 300km (google says 254 km) and he plans to walk 10 to 12 days ... that would be 25 to 30 km a day.
Agree that he is on a wrong cause. To me staying in one place and fasting in the public eye for 40 or more days is the way to go if you are really convinced of your cause.
