I don't think it will play out as you suggest T2T - neither in the Korea's nor the ME.
There are historical and religious ties between the people of the two Koreas and I suspect there is at least some support for NK in the South. It is a complex issue and note that the UN resolution had to be watered down to appease China and Russia.
Iran - I suspect will emerge as the most powerful of the "Arab/muslim" countries in the ME. The US will NOT get its way in Syria and the current POTUS will be presiding over the decline of the USofA.
I supported Trump because I thought he would arrest the decline and put the US on a path to once again becoming the pre-eminent power but I was wrong. I suspect he has to toe the line otherwise we could see a repeat of that most saddest of events in our modern history bar none IMO - 1963 (may he rest in peace).
