Well here in WA we ARE free already !!
We can go anywhere , no masks , no restrictions !
No virus and no deaths from it in ... a year (?)
We pay for it with restrictive travel in and out of the state and some jobs needing vaxed .
The VAST majority of us think that is a very good trade - off .
Our Prem. most popular in Australia by a country mile .
Some don't like it ..... but here's the thing .....
Our country is based on a system of rule where the elected law makers and leaders enact the law for the benefit of the population .
You have what RIGHTS they say you have and in the case of WA laws backed by the high court .
So for instance we have NO RIGHT to drive on the RIGHT hand side of the road .
We are FORCED to pay income tax .
If our neighbor is bloody annoying we ARE NOT allowed to hit him !
We are restricted in many ways already for the benefit of society and so we can live together in an organised way fairly tightly packed together .
If you know your history a hundred odd years back there was an "anarchists" moverment who wanted no rules but not enough people were convinced , thankfully .
These days all I hear about is selfish people crying out for their rights and completely ignoring the consequences and their own responsibility .
Really sick of it !
