I note that Dr Brian Hooker's university education, including his PhD, is in Science majoring in Chemical Engineering and works as a biomedical engineer. Why is this information not included in the article but they refer to him as Dr. Brian Hooker. Is that so readers believe his qualifications are as a medical doctor and his opinions are accordingly of higher validity?
And Dr Jim Meehan is an ophthalmologist. Where is the evidence of his depth of knowledge regarding viruses, treatment thereof and of vaccines such that we can be sure he has the necessary knowledge so we can trust the conclusions he draws?
Viera Scheibner PhD of the Vaccine-SIDS link "fame" here in Australia is a micro-paleontologist (a micro version of Time Flannery? ). What is the evidence that she has enough in-depth knowledge to have confidence in her conclusion regarding the link of SIDS with vaccines is sound?
Correlation is not causation. Without sufficient depth of knowledge we can all fall into the trap of imputing causation to a factor merely because it is correlated.
