Obligations to the rest of society? Absolutely. Who do you think takes more seriously their societal obligations, the unvaxxed droogie who goes to the footy, the pub, etc wearing masks when not seated, masks on transport, exercising social distancing, not breaking the rules on movement and gatherings regardless of their location, or the fully vaccinated Aussie that went to Byron, went to the pub, etc, didn't sign in using codes and has shut down thousands of small businesses?

Vaccine mandates don't protect anybody as much as does simple common sense and adherence to directives.

If the vaccines provided 100% protection against the pathogen, I could understand a move as authoritarian as a vaccine mandate, but it doesn't.

I'm also not sure what you mean by responsibility to others. Which others are you referring to? And upon whom is the onus of responsibility? A fully vaccinated individual can infect and kill a whole building of the vulnerable and/or venerable, why is it necessary to strip the freedom of choice from millions of unvaccinated Australians when the penalty for contravening restrictions even by the vaccinated is a simple monetary fine?
