WoW if true and real it smacks absolutely of Helicobacter pylori (sp) and stomach ulcers.
This history in medical science was a standout because of the huge industry in poorly treating stomach ulcers, the entire professional medicine food chain and the effort that was expended to keep the true cause of stomach ulcers from being officially recognized lasted a very long time...a brave research doctor had to in the end infect himself with H. pylori and cause a proven ulcer then cure himself to force mainstream professional recognition.
I wonder if this 'new' understanding in back pain heralds much the same history?
Regardless an amazing new discovery if it actually is a new discovery.
