No one are saying that there won't be problems with electric cars in the same way as other cars. Neither does anyone believe that ICE cars will disappear overnight. There are however plenty of countries that are actively encouraging the switch to switch to more environmentally friendly alternatives. For instance with adding extra taxes on ICE cars or reducing them for alternative. In a lot of countries the cost petrol is already twice as expensive or more than what it is in Australia and with lots of other "motivations" driving the change.

So when it comes to new cars the transition is happening and accelerating.You are free to look at individual data points like recalls for EVs and similar but it seems that it makes you miss the bigger trend when it comes to new car production & sales by doing so.
