I dunno what to make of the "70 staff" onboard already...but I know that if you have 70 staff onboard and you're paying them a minimum of $1000 a week that's a wage expense of 3.64m/year. Add on 12% super contribution and you get 4.08m/year. Add on holiday leave/parental leave etc and it rises again. Mine staff would be on more than that I would assume - irrespective of what position they are in.
I might not know much about employing people or running a large business, but imo doesn't seem feasable to hire people and commit to an annual expense of 5-10m/annum unless you were expecting to get a ROI in the near term...I believe there's wheels turning behind the scenes. Just remains to be seen where those wheels are turning to.
