Caveat Emptor I say. If someone is dumb enough to believe what they hear on the internet because they simply don't understand specialized professions or trust mainstream society any more, it is their own business.
Best practice has no business getting involved in subjectivity, it is just a waste of bandwidth. It is better to just ignore the noise and focus on progress.
