You overlook the fact that infection numbers are low in Australia because we basically shut the country down.

When we fully open up both Delta and Omicron will spread like wildfire. There will be no escape particularly for the
unvaccinated who have no protection. Even with the restrictions still in place and high vaccination rates Omicron has
already found its way here and when by years end when all borders are likely to be open(Except maybe WA which takes a
more prudent approach) Covid will surge once again. South Australia relaxed its borders and it now has a significant outbreak
which may or may not get contained.
