"It is in the community, ". ........ absolutely, I've been writing several times about reservoir infections within the community -- people who don't want to, or don't know they need to, get tested.... and omicron seems to be largely asymptomatic.
when SARS outbreak occurred in 2003, over 2-3 years it mutated to become benign..... it happens often enough with rapidly evolving (high reproduction rate) viruses and coronavirus seems to have such rapid evolution that it may just go the way of SARS.
