I don't know if people have noticed a clear theme among the media reports. It's strange how the reporters can't seem to get the charge right.

The charge is that the employees "voluntarily omitted to request the return of the vehicles early enough and thereby assisted the military to commit the crimes that they committed ...".

That's the actual charge by the military prosecutor. It is very specific. The main problem with this is that it is pretty difficult to be charged in any court with "omitting to do something". To be charged, one must actually
do something that positively contributed to the result. This is not the case.
