What I'd like to know is how will Anwar's new inquiry determine if the plant is safe. The international atomic energy commission has already determined that the plant is safe. Many rare earth experts and scientists from around the world have visited the pland and declared Lynas safe. The ore can be transported internationally without radioactivity notifications. The residue can be converted into safe byproducts. If you don't accept that, then what other body are you going to call on to adjudicate if the plant is safe. If the new review is to be scientifically based it seems that everyone in the world who knows about rare earths has already come out on the side of Lynas. How will Anwar's new enquiry decide on the safety or otherwise of the plant and who will be the panel of experts who act as the jury. Maybe SMSL have a few candidates in mind.
