it is so so clear anwar is trying get out of the manifesto 's promises in a way that saves face. he just want to be seen to have done something to "protect" the environment by reassesing the safety of the lamp.
you know what, the whole antilynas thing did not originate from the PAS, DAP or PKR. It was A few individuals like Wong and Tan who started it.
when it gathered momentum with the misinformed Pahang residents, the opposition took advantage of this to score some browny points with Voters. The opposition had no anti lynas sentiments whatsoever.
(further provided there is no proof the TOL was obtained via the back door, shutting it down will cost billions of ringgitt - something Wong openly admits)
but really who cares...
the opposition is unlikely to win ge13 anyway.
