    Firth may not privy to any of the goings on with respect to a counter-bid.

    Secondly, the counter-bid story was broken by the AFR (Fairfax). A newscorp paper would not bolster the credence of a competitor by commenting on what has so far been a fairfax story afternon.

    IMO, it appears a hedge fund leaked the counter-bid to the AFR.
